About Me

I've currently just completed a Master's program in Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario, where I undertook a project on Moses Mendelssohn and his notion of the 'positive power of the soul,' under the supervision of Corey Dyck.

Before coming to the University of Western Ontario, I completed my Honour's Bachelor of Arts degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Here I wrote my undergraduate thesis, entitled Kantian Embodiment and the Refutation of Idealism, under the supervision of Suma Rajiva.

Starting in October of 2026, I'll be PhD researcher in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, as part of the wider SASP programme, where I'll be working with Franz Berto and Jens Timmermann on a project combining Kantian philosophy and contemporary discussions of meta-ontology.

Most of my research, as you might be able to glean, is on the work of Immanuel Kant, however I have interests across the field of 'classical German philosophy,' or, as my current supervisor puts it: "From Martin (Luther) to Martin (Heidegger)." I'm especially interested in Husserl, Heidegger, Fichte, and Schelling. I also work, and have interest in Metaphysics, both contemporary and its history, especially contemporary discussions of meta-ontology, and current revivals of what is commonly called 'Meinongianism.'
