About Me

I've currently just completed a Master's program in Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario, where I undertook a project on Moses Mendelssohn and his notion of the 'positive power of the soul,' under the supervision of Corey Dyck.

Before coming to the University of Western Ontario, I completed my Honour's Bachelor of Arts degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Here I wrote my undergraduate thesis, entitled Kantian Embodiment and the Refutation of Idealism, under the supervision of Suma Rajiva.

Starting in October of 2026, I'll be beginning a PhD program in philosophy at the University of St Andrews, where I'll be working with Franz Berto and Jens Timmermann on a project combining Kantian philosophy and contemporary discussions of meta-ontology.

Most of my research, as you might be able to glean, is on the work of Immanuel Kant, however I have interests across the field of 'classical German philosophy,' or, as my current supervisor puts it: "From Martin (Luther) to Martin (Heidegger)." I'm especially interested in Husserl, Heidegger, Fichte, and Schelling. I also work, and have interest in Metaphysics, both contemporary and its history, especially contemporary discussions of meta-ontology, and current revivals of what is commonly called 'Meinongianism.'
